LINCS Receives Criminal Justice Grant

LINCS Family Center received a $200,000 grant from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) for the Wilson Area Communities that Care Coalition. Grants were given to local nonprofits including LINCS Family Center and St. Luke’s Hospital. Senator Lisa M. DONATE YOUR FORMAL WEAR! Wilson Area High School is organizing an upcoming prom clothing event and LINCS would like to help! On Monday, April 17 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. you can drop off gently used formal wear at LINCS, 2400 Firmstone Street, Easton (on the campus of the intermediate school). Weekend Meal Donations Needed for Students

We are asking for assistance from the local community to help support our continued efforts in providing food to over 100 Wilson Area School District students each week. LINCS is looking for nutritious and kid-friendly but lightweight donations to include in our weekend meal bags for our students experiencing food insecurity. Mary Meuser Library and AARP Volunteers Offer Free Tax Preparation

Mary Meuser Library, 1803 Northampton St. Easton, PA 18042 in Wilson, and volunteers from AARP are offering free income tax preparation. Volunteers are available to assist Spanish and Russian speaking residents. This service is only provided for simple tax returns only and cannot accommodate stock portfolios or any complicated tax situations. The program runs from February 1st to April 18th this year. LINCS Family Center: Connecting Area Families to Essential Services Through Northampton County Community Development Block Grant

Greater Wilson Area – LINCS Family Center is utilizing funds from a $20,000 Northampton County Community Development Block Grant to connect local families to needed services. Through a partnership with CONCERN for Kids, a social worker evaluates the needs of local residents and suggests resources to meet those needs. Greater Wilson Area – LINCS Family Center received $30,000 in funding from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency to reduce violence in the community served by the Wilson Area School District.
