Our coalition had a beautiful day for our Touch A Truck and Community Resource Fair on Sunday, August 10! Over 330 members of the local community, many to receive backpacks and school supplies to help students prepare for the new school year. Thanksgiving Food Drive for Warrior Bag Program
Please deliver all items to LINCS by Monday, November 18 for the bags to be assembled by volunteers! We are asking for gift cards to local grocery stores and shelf stable Thanksgiving food such as cranberry sauce, gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes, corn, green beans, mac and cheese, cornbread or roll mix, canned yams, cake mix, and frosting. LINCS Board Chair Accepts Iron Pigs Donation at Recent Game
LINCS Family Center Board Chair, George Washburn, accepted the Iron Pigs Charities donation at the game on May 22. The $2,000 grant will be utilized to partially fund the LINCS Summer Playground program for Wilson Area School District students. The Wilson Area Communities That Care Coalition will be leading a Community Walk through Meuser Park and along South 22nd Street in Wilson Borough. Participants will envision how to activate underutilized spaces and hear from partners who seek to strengthen community and promote pro-social behaviors.
